Dr. Yo-wei Chen is a board-certified prosthodontist, Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. He earned his DDS from Taipei Medical University, completed advanced specialty training in prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree at Tufts University, earned an additional DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and completed his PhD in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of Siena in Italy.

Dr. Chen specializes in implant dentistry, esthetic dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction, digital dentistry, and complex restorative care. His clinical philosophy emphasizes careful diagnosis, clear communication, evidence-based treatment planning, and long-term, patient-centered outcomes.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Chen teaches and mentors dental students and prosthodontic residents at Tufts. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, serves as a reviewer for leading dental and scientific journals, and is a member of the International Team for Implantology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chen enjoys spending time with his family and two young children. He previously paddled with the Boston Taiwanese Boat Club dragon boat team and
participated in local races.
