Dr. Ya-Ting Yu obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Kaohsiung Medical University, following which she served as a cosmetic restorative dentist in Taiwan. She subsequently pursued her higher education in the United States and received a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics, alongside a Master of Science in Dentistry (Biomaterial and Restorative Science) from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Yu then earned a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontology and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, attaining her a unique US trained doctoral and Perio-Prostho specialists qualification.

As a board-certified specialist in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, Dr. Yu currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the Advanced Specialty Education Program, Department of Periodontology, at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Her specialized training in Periodontology and Prosthodontics enables her to focus on teaching advanced esthetic dentistry and full mouth reconstruction techniques, utilizing the latest technological advancements and techniques.

Furthermore, Dr. Yu is actively involved in various continuing education programs, where she imparts her knowledge and expertise to dental professionals worldwide.
